Akron Parks Challenge: Your Neighborhoodās $150K Transformation š³
Akronās giving residents the power to shape their parksāagain. The 2025 Akron Parks Challenge is officially open, offering two community groups the chance to snag $150,000 each for park upgrades.
Hereās the deal: If youāve got a park in mind, all you need to do is register by March 22 with your name, email, and chosen park. From there, Akron Parks Collaborative (APC) will bring together all interested parties for a guided session to shape a joint application. Final proposals are due April 6.
The challenge, now in its sixth cycle, has pumped over $3.7M into Akronās green spaces since 2018.
